Artist Statement
I am particularly drawn to repurpose materials, in an effort to be more sustainable in my art practice, as well as to encourage others to find creative uses for scrap/excess materials. I enjoy creative re-use, and hope that my work might give others ideas for using materials they might otherwise throw away.
Materials & Technique
Variation on Longstitch binding – created with repurposed leathers, original digital photograph canvas lining, Strathmore sketch pages, and other found objects for closure .

She is a former member of the Cincinnati Book Arts Society. She has recently changed careers from graphic design to high school art teacher. She creates books from repurposed materials and enjoys experimenting with materials and book forms.
