2026 Conference Recap
For the second time we held the conference at Western Oregon University (WOU) in Monmouth, Oregon, from June 24 through 28, 2026. We want to thank everyone who participated in making the 2026 FOBA Conference a successful one, including our sponsors, instructors, attendees (both first timers and returning), trade show vendors, artists, volunteers, and our amazing board who organized this conference. Additionally, we thank the staff of WOU for accommodating us and assisting in making our conference a success.
1-, 2-, and 3-day workshops were held during the 5-day conference, which included 43 workshops by 21 experienced book arts instructors. There were workshops for all levels from beginner to advanced.
We had a variety of events and activities during the conference including two receptions. Some of the highlights included:
- Faculty-Staff Exhibit and Open Book: Works of art on display by instructors and conference staff
- Trade Show: Vendors selling materials, supplies, and tools for book artists
- Artists’ Fair: Artists from the conference selling their creations
- Fundraising Raffle and Silent Auction: Donated items were raffled to support the Colleen Cavin Fellowship Program, the Patty Grass Internship Program, and the conference
- Keynote Speaker: Jennie Hinchcliff
We’re so glad you were able to join us at FOBA 2026 in Monmouth, Oregon! We hope you had a wonderful time learning, teaching, making, and/or mingling! Your enthusiasm made this year’s conference a success, and we so appreciate your contributions.
