Artist Statement
I first became aware of the shadow prints of leaves on Portland sidewalks after the fall rains. India Flint’s book Eco Colour gave me a method of transferring the leaf pigments to paper and cloth. Primarily a textile artist, I’m always looking for ways to incorporate stitching in my paper projects. I love combining these disciplines!
