DRIVING INFORMATION

Approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes from the Portland International Airport (PDX); or 1 hour and 10 minutes from the Eugene Airport (EUG). Salem is only 20 mins from campus, and in under 10 minutes you can be in the center of either Dallas or Independence. 

Interstate 5 Northbound:

Take Exit 249 (Commercial Street). Follow Commercial into Salem, and as you near downtown, Commercial will curve to the right and become Liberty Street. Stay on Liberty until you reach Marion Street. Turn left, cross the Marion Street Bridge on to Highway 22, and follow the signs marked “Dallas/Ocean Beaches.” Stay on Highway 22 until you reach Highway 99W. Take exit 16 on the right side of the overpass that puts you on Highway 99W. Go south about six miles to Monmouth. Take a right onto Main Street at the stop light. Follow Main Street west to Monmouth Avenue and turn right.

Alternate Northbound Route:

Take Exit 228 and follow route 34 west towards Corvallis. After crossing the Willamette River into Corvallis, turn right at the second light onto scenic highway 99W. Continue north about 20 miles until you reach Monmouth. Turn left at the first stop light, onto Main Street. Follow Main Street west to Monmouth Avenue and turn right.

Interstate 5 Southbound:

Take Exit 260A (Salem Parkway). Follow the Parkway into Salem. The Parkway will curve to the left and become Commercial Street. Stay on Commercial until you reach Marion Street. Turn right, cross the Marion Street Bridge on to Highway 22, and follow the signs marked “Dallas/Ocean Beaches.” Stay on Highway 22 until you reach Highway 99W. Take exit 16 on the right side on the overpass that puts you on Highway 99W. Go south about six miles to Monmouth. Take a right onto Main Street at the stop light. Follow Main Street west to Monmouth Avenue and turn right.

TRANSIT INFORMATION

Take the Oregon Express Shuttle from the Portland Airport to Salem (takes about 2 hours, with 16 trips per a day, $43-48 pp), and then transfer to the local bus service (Cherriots, bus route #40), from the Salem transit center to Monmouth.

AIRLINE INFORMATION

Airlines with flight service into Portland (PDX) include Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Boutique Air, British Airways, Condor, Delta Air Lines, Frontier, Hawaiian, Icelandair, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines, Spirit, Sun Country, United Airlines, Volaris, and Westjet.

Airlines with flight service into Eugene (EUG) include Alaska Airlines, Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Avelo Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines.(add this text) 

Note: There is now commercial air service connecting to the Salem Airport (SLE), through Avelo Airlines. This service is new, but sounds like it could be a great new option!

Check-in will be in the Richard Woodcock Education Center located at 601 Monmouth Ave N, Monmouth, OR 97361.

The Check-In Desk is inside the Richard Woodcock Education Center. Check-in is from 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm on Tuesday and 8:00 to 9:00 am Wednesday through Sunday.

Note: It is important to check in before attending class, as all students will need card keys for building access, whether they are staying on campus or not.

Attendee will be given a welcome bag upon check-in which will include:

  • Name Tag
  • Class schedule & location
  • Dorm room keys
  • Meal tickets or wristbands
  • Parking information
  • Wifi information
  • Participant Handbook: You will receive a participant handbook booklet which contains loads of general information: a conference schedule, the class schedule with maps of classroom locations, evening activities, Colleen Cavin Fellowship information, a campus map, a map of points of interest in the area, and restaurants around the campus.

All Staff and Attendees may park for free during the conference in Lot H, located in the center of the campus (see map below). The address for the lot is: 354 Monmouth Ave. N, Monmouth, OR 97361.

Day use parking is allowed in lot H on campus. No permit is needed in the summer but DO NOT park in any “Reserved” space. Day parking is also available on the street. Most street parking has a two hour limit.

Your overnight parking permit will be included in the Welcome Bag you will receive when you arrive on campus and check-in.

The Conference Information Desk will have someone available to help you in the Richard Woodcock Education Center from 8:00am to 7:00pm Wednesday thru Saturday and 8:00am to 5:00pm on Sunday.
