Challenge Book—re:book

What’s your unfinished object (UFO)? The one that “got away?” Or the one sitting on the shelf? The ambitious idea you’ve just not had the right opportunity to tackle? That quirky concept that just hasn’t fit into any other class or conference theme? The sustainable materials you’ve always meant to explore? What challenge would you like to take up?

FOBA’s 2026 Challenge Book theme, re:book, is your chance to re-engage with book arts in so many possible ways! Bring your creations—one or two—to the conference check-in desk. Challenge Books will be displayed anonymously and artists revealed at the Conference Showcase and Social. Conference participants will judge the entries and, in addition to the approbation of your peers, you could win a prize! Though optional, kudos will be awarded to those permitting exhibit goers to physically interact with your artwork (carefully).

Each entrant will receive two extra raffle tickets for submitting a Challenge Book, which just might bag you other great prizes! Embrace the re:book Challenge.

Please fill out the form here so we know you will bring your Challenge Book to the conference.
