Artist Statement
Translating the art of handmade books into a medium that is not traditionally used to construct multi-page items is the challenge I wanted to explore in this work. Keeping the pages distinct as opposed to fully fusing all layers into one thick piece presents multiple construction choices and requires visualization in depth and an understanding of how the paints will fire to strike their colors.
Materials and Techniques
Fused glass tunnel book/loose-leaf folio with Glassine paints, wood box, and driftwood.
