Artist Statement
I enjoy upcycling or recycling materials, and this sketchbook utilizes mostly reclaimed items. The leather was an offcut from a previous project, and the interior pages are recycled kraft packing paper. I really enjoy making projects from seemingly unwanted or scrap materials, as they can lead to interesting combinations that may not follow the normal structured processes of more intentional bookbinding. This sketchbook houses Neurographic style drawings that were the result of a creativity workshop I was participating in, focusing on daily creative practice.

Softcover leather sketchbook, longstitch binding, with recycled kraft paper signatures. Partially filled with Neurographic style art drawings and textural studies. Personal sketchbook used for a month-long workshop focusing on daily creative practice.
