Artist Statement
I thought I was pretty special, creating a book out of paper bags! I remember loving the sound of the paper and the texture of it. I wanted to document that year for some reason. It was a pivotal year as a young person. I was ending a relationship that didn’t work for me and coming into my own person. And I truly thought I was the first person to create a book out of lunch bags.
