Artist Statement
Bringing emotion and sparking a conversation through combining the arts of printing, glass fusing, and book binding are inspiring to me. This gloves pictured in this image were sheer silk and were given to my late friend Freddie by her husband during WWII. Freddie’s Gloves are part of a series I call “Women of Inspiration and Men of Distinction.” They remind me to reflect upon what I learn from every person who has been part of my life.
Materials and Techniques
Fused glass, silk-screened powder print book covers with brass wire and stitched binding, button closure, and paper signature pages.
