Getting to Pacific University

Pacific University’s Forest Grove Campus is located about 22 miles west of downtown Portland, off Highway 26, the Sunset Highway.

From Portland, head west on US-26 toward Seaside. Take exit 59 Jackson School Road, exit 57 Glencoe Road or the left exit for Hwy 6 – Banks/Tillamook.

By Public Transit

The Portland area’s mass transit system, TriMet, operates light-rail and bus systems throughout the region. MAX, the light-rail system, extends to Hillsboro, and from there, buses travel into Forest Grove, stopping just two blocks from campus.

Other Routes

The White Van Shuttle Service provides transportation from Portland International Airport to campus. For service, call 503-774-9755.

Bicycles are a common mode of transportation and recreation in this area. TriMet welcomes bicycles on its buses and light-rail trains, and Forest Grove sits on the Tualatin Valley Scenic Bikeway.

If you arrive by car, turn onto College Way, which is a one-way street, and then turn into the Visitor Parking, Lot G, or park on the street and walk to Burlingham Hall, which is across the street and northeast of Parking Lot G. If you come by public transportation, ask to be let off on College Way near the main entrance of the college or near Washburne Hall University Center. Then come to the Check-in desk in the lobby of Burlingham Hall. If you came by car, after check-in, please move your car out of the Visitor Parking into an appropriate parking lot.

Check-in will be in the lobby of Burlingham Hall, at 2111 University Avenue in Forest Grove, Oregon.

You may check in any time after 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 14.

Participants should check in with the check-in desk prior to their first workshop.

Note: It is important to check in before attending class, as all students will need card keys for building access, whether they are staying on campus or not.
The conference opens with an informal reception on Thursday evening, and workshops begin
promptly at 9am on Friday, July 15, 2022.

Check-In Required for All Participants

During check-in you will receive your name badge, card key to enter campus buildings, meal
information, parking permit (required for all vehicles whether you are staying on campus or not), and
maps of your workshop locations.

Specific information about your workshop classrooms and your dorm room will be given to you at the
check-in desk on-site. You may check in any time after 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 14. Participants

Parking permits are required if you park a vehicle on campus. With a permit, day-use parking is allowed in any lot on campus. Please, DO NOT park in any space marked Reserved. Day parking is also available on the street, but is time-limited, and the city is diligent about ticketing.

Overnight parking is allowed only in Lot K, the most convenient lot for the housing at Burlingham.

You will receive a participant handbook booklet which contains loads of general information: a conference schedule, the class schedule with maps of classroom locations, evening activities, Colleen Cavin Fellowship information, a campus map, a map of Forest Grove, points of interest in the area, and restaurants in Forest Grove.
